Cookie Policy

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, phone or tablet by your browser when you visit a website. Many cookies are automatically deleted after you finish using a website; others are stored for a limited length of time. Cookies enable websites to remember things about their visitors. They gather information about your visit to a site, such as how you entered the site, how you navigated through it, what information was of use to you and what forms you filled in etc.

If a website doesn’t use cookies it will think that you are a new visitor every time you move to a new page on the site and may not be able to keep you logged in.

Cookies are designed to give you a better online experience. They are not computer programs and do not collect information from your computer or devices.

Helmwind Cycles’ Cookie Policy

At Helmwind we use three types of cookies: The Strictly Necessary Cookies that enable you to move around the website, for example the identity cookie. We also use Functionality Cookies which store your preferences and Performance Cookies to enhance our website and give you a better user experience.

Although cookies are nothing new, legally, we now need your consent to use them. If you don’t want to receive cookies you can modify your browser so that it notifies you when cookies are sent to it or you can refuse cookies entirely.

If you restrict or block cookies set up by the Helmwind Cycles website, your use of some of the functionality of the website might be limited. For example, you may not have access to some of the links or forms. However, you will be able to see just about all of the information available.

Helmwind Cycles also uses some third party cookies. These are cookies set up by other websites linked to ours. We use Google for example, for our website map, which has cookies embedded in it for Google to track the frequency of usage, which browsers were used and to manage their location features. We cannot audit the use of these but you should be aware of their use.
